The Pacific Coast

The Pacific coast is a place of rugged beauty and timeless wonder, where the forces of nature collide in a never-ending dance of wind and waves. With its rocky cliffs, sandy beaches, and mist-shrouded forests, it's a place of contrasts and contradictions, where the sun can be shining one minute and a fierce storm can roll in the next.

The raw beauty of the Oregon Coast captured on medium format Kodak Portra 400 film - a moment frozen in time, a memory to last a lifetime. The setting sun, the rocky shore, and the endless horizon come together to create a breathtaking scene that stands the test of time.

Mountains

There is a certain nostalgia that is evoked by landscapes captured on film. The organic texture and subtle imperfections of film photographs can transport the viewer to a time and place that feels almost dreamlike. The rich tonality and muted colors of film photographs can convey a sense of melancholy or longing, as if the image is a distant memory that is slowly fading away. Film photography has a way of making the ordinary seem extraordinary, and the past seem present. For those who appreciate the art of film photography, the nostalgic feel of landscapes captured on film is a reminder of the power of photography to capture moments in time that are both fleeting and timeless.

Black and White Film

Timeless Grainy Goodness

Color is descriptive. Black and white is interpretive.

I started with digital photography more than 10 years ago but my true passion lies in working with film. There's just something special about the way film captures light and texture that can't be replicated with digital technology. I love the process of scanning and editing newly developed film, and I find that it allows me to create truly unique and timeless images.

Living in the Pacific Northwest gives me ample opportunities to explore and photograph the natural world around me. From the rugged coastline to the lush forests and snow-capped mountains, there's always something new to discover.
